Anthiyur is a small town in Tamil nadu India in Erode district. It is a beautiful town surrounded by mountains. It is famous for the forest area nearby.

Tippu's fort - Almost destroyed.

Bhadrakalliamman temple- This is one of the oldest temples in tamilnadu. Every year during April during the festival more than 100000 people gather at this temple. People believe that this is one of the powerful temple.
Varattupallam dam- This dam is located 12 km from Anthiyur, just below the mountain. During summer evenings elephants can be seen in the dam. Adjacent to this dam mountain road goes until Mysore.

Gurunathaswamy Temple - Festival which is celebrated every year during Aug 15th is very famous one. Cattle market during this festival is famous all over India. People sell Horses, cows goats during this festival. Some of the horses are sold for more than 600000 rs. Even people come from northern part of India to sell and buy cattle.
