Antena 1 is a Romanian television network, and one of the three top networks in the country with a market share of about 20%. It covers most of the country and it was owned by Dan Voiculescu, who is the president of the Conservative Party. Antena 1 is currently the second most popular television channel, running a close second to leader ProTV. Its main shows include the Observator (main news broadcast at 19:00), Din dragoste (entertainment talk show formatted after the German Sat.1 show Nur die Liebe zählt - German: "Only love counts"), The Divertis Show (broadcast on Sunday and mainly a political and social satire format), Animat Planet Show, an animated comedy series starring the Meşteru family (a Romanian family) and some Romanian politicians (voiced by the Divertis actors), and its own label soap opera.

The channel has been berated for its allegiance to the political objectives of its owner, Dan Voiculescu, although spokespeople for the channel have often denied such allegations.

Antena 1 promotes itself under the slogan Together we are Antena 1, after dropping the long-running Always Close slogan which helped relaunch it in 1998. In May 2005, Antena 1 has acquired a specialty brother, the channel Antena 3, a 24-hour news channel fashioned in the spirit of BBC. In February 2006, Antena 4 - Euforia lifestyle TV was launched, a channel targeting women viewers. In July 2006, Antena Internaţional, a 24-hour TV channel for Romanians over the borders was launched; it is now broadcasting only in USA and Canada, but will soon extend its coverage area. It is programmed that a new channel of the Intact group will be launched in autumn 2006. And in April 2007, Antena 2 was launched.

The channel is owned by the Intact group.
