Antaeus is a Greek-born, Los Angeles-based electronica DJ/artist/producer. Since 1986 Antaeus (aka Alexx Antaeus) has remixed/produced for Young M.C., Falco, Malcolm MacLaren, Herbert Gronemeyer, and Earth, Wind & Fire, to name but a few. His personal albums include Byzantine Meditation, World Prayer, and zero4. Antaeus blends urban and club beats with ethnic melodies and ambient sensitivity. His chill music has been used on TV ads, during shows, and in several compilations, including BUDDHA BAR VIII. He is a voting member of NARAS (Grammy Awards), and he is a past recipient of the Best Disc Jockey in Los Angeles award. Antaeus is not affiliated with the death metal/satanistic band using the same name.
