Anseong is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, 80 km south of Seoul. Its geographical location is 37°0′N, 127°16′E.

In 1963, gosam town of Yongin incorporated into Anseong.[1] At that time, Anseong was county. In 1983, 6 towns set apart from Anseong and attached as a district of Pyeongtak.[2] In 1998, Anseong county promoted to Anseong city.
