Anoush Waddington
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Anoush Waddington is a leading designer in Art jewelry. Anoush’s work can be found in a significant number of private collections around the world.
Anoush is best known for her work with polypropylene, she developed a number of techniques in 2001 that allowed her to utilise this strong, lightweight and durable material which had rarely been used for jewellery design due to a number of technical problems. Her use of this material and her unique style resulted in her winning a number of international awards.
Recent research conducted by Anoush has allowed her to develop new techniques, including a process for dyeing polypropylene, as well as other more usual plastics and the development of a process for pressure laminating acrylic to encapsulate a range of materials. Jewellery including elements using these processes is gradually being incorporated into her new collections.
