Annie Young Frisbie

Annie Young Frisbie is the co-writer and co-producer of the movie Speak, starring Kristen Stewart and Steve Zahn. After reading the 1999 National Book Award nominated novel Speak, by Laurie Halse Anderson, Annie optioned it and performed the adaptation, which was produced by Showtime in 2003. Speak premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, and will have its television premiere on Showtime and Lifetime Television on Labor Day, 2005.

Young Frisbie photo edited The Art of the Documentary, a collection of interviews with such notable filmmakers as Errol Morris and Ken Burns. As a research and clearance consultant, she worked on films such as Far From Heaven, 25th Hour, Pollock, and Infamous. Young Frisbie is Adjunct Instructor of Screenwriting at Messiah College, and holds an MA in Cinema Studies from New York University. She is a member of the Writers Guild of America, East. She resides in Sunnyside, Queens, with her husband, John Frisbie.
