Anne-Marie Goumba

Anne-Marie Goumba (born 9 October 1954[citation needed]) is a member of the National Assembly of the Central African Republic and as a member of the Pan-African Parliament from the Central African Republic. She is the wife of long-time Central African politician Abel Goumba, the former President of the Patriotic Front for Progress (FPP). [1]

She was born in Rwanda, where she met Abel Goumba, whom she married, in the 1970s, when he was sent there while working for the World Health Organization.[2] She was elected to the National Assembly from the fifth district of Bangui in the 2005 parliamentary election,[1] receiving 37.32% of the vote in the second round.[3]
