Anna Nicole is the title of a biographical movie depicting the life of Anna Nicole Smith, due to be released to theaters on August 30, 2008.[1]

The film is scheduled to be released by Nasser Entertainment Group and stars Willa Ford, Patrick Ryan Anderson, Chris Devlin, Lenny Hirsh, and Bobby Trendy as himself, among others. Many rumors have spread around the internet regarding this film,[2] and TMZ Online has been documenting much of the film's available information along the way. The film has been described as being on the "fast track" according to the film's producer, Joseph Nasser.[3] The movie is currently in post-production.[1] The film is an independent production and has been confirmed to be released to theaters.[4] The MPAA has not yet rated this film.

Although a specific plot has not been confirmed, the film's producers have stated that the movie will cover Anna Nicole's life from age 17 to death, depicting her struggle for stardom, criticism, as well as the death of her son, birth of her daughter, several of her court cases, and death.[3] Willa Ford has stated that the movie will not depict the event in which Smith dressed like a clown and appeared extremely incoherent, which appeared on many websites on the internet.[citation needed]

Both Insider and Entertainment Tonight have paid special attention to the film's progress. On April 26, 2007, ET gave an exclusive sneak peek at the film, showing parts of both Daniel's and Anna's death scenes and exclusive interviews with the cast. On March 6, 2008, Inside Edition confirmed the release date of this film for August 30, 2008.
