[edit] Invitation
Hi there, just noticed some good work by you on India related articles. How about joining us at Wikipedia:WikiProject India:) — Lost(talk) 13:57, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome
Hi, and welcome to the India WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of India.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Please participate in any of our descendant workgroups that might interest you.
- The project has a monthly newsletter; it will normally be delivered as a link, but several other formats are available.
There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:
- Want to know how good our articles are? The assessment department is working on rating the quality of every India article in Wikipedia.
- Can you code? The automation department uses automated and semi-automated methods to perform batch tasks that would be tedious to do manually.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! ॐ Kris (☎ talk | contribs) 23:44, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Missed Call
A tag has been placed on "missed call", requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RainbowOfLight Talk 07:50, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- My talk page is not the correct place to dispute the deletion of an article. I'm not an admin and I can't do anything about it. (I understand your confusion, since I was the one who placed the tag and notified you.) The article has already been deleted, but if it hadn't, you would have done as the template suggested and put the hangon template on the page. It has apparently been deleted twice by 2 different admins which is a pretty good indication that it's not a good article. However, if you insist on disputing it, you can probably contact the admin who most recently deleted it. Looking at the page, it is User:Natalie Erin. Go to her talk page and discuss it with her. RainbowOfLight Talk 04:46, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Ankurjain. The page was actually deleted twice. The first deletion was done by User:SQL, and you will have to take up your issue with him in regards to whether or not the page is actually nonsense. I deleted it the second time, apparently after you recreated it with only the "hangon" tag on it. I misread the article history and did not realize that you had just recreated the page moments ago - I thought it had been an empty page for 8 hours. So I deleted it as an empty page, not as nonsense. You will need to discuss the issue of nonsense with SQL, although I agree that this page does not meet the definition of patent nonsense. - Hey there! :) You've got a point, about that article. I think, I was intending to remove it under a different criteria, but, I'll be honest, for the life of me I can't think of what right now. So, as this was obviously a mistake, I'm going to restore it for you. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for understanding! :) SQL(Query Me!) 18:36, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Missed call
Missed call, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Missed call satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Missed call and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Missed call during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you.
I agree that it didn't fit under a speedy criteria, but in my view is of questionable encyclopaedic merit. The community may well disagree with me so I've posted it up for debate. Please feel free to add your thoughts there. Orderinchaos 09:16, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:ValueResearchOnline.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:ValueResearchOnline.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 02:54, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
