Talk:Anjala conspiracy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"In Finland, it's often seen as an important phase of nation building, and the separatist aspect is maybe somewhat inflated, putting the conspirators' primary strife for peace and restored political liberties in the background."
- That appears to prejudge the issue, to the effect that the Finnish view is a parochial one, and incorrect. I fail to see what justification there is for that, if one is not a Swede. Most of the major activists in the conspiracy were from the Walhalla-orden, and their activism after the Anjala conspiracy clearly did not direct itself towards merely restoring political liberties, but were quite clearly independence and even republican directed (in the long term view). -- Cimon Avaro; on a pogostick. 21:26, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
