Welcome!

Hello, AnimAlu, Welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope you like working here and want to continue. If you need help on how to name new articles, look at Naming Conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the Manual of Style. If you need general help, look at Help and the FAQ, and if you can't find your answer there, check the Village pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and the Policy Library. Also, don't forget to visit the Community Portal — and if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my New-Users' Talk Page.
Additional tips:
Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
  • If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username.
  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
  • Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
  • You might want to add yourself to the New User Log
  • If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language
Happy editing!

[edit] Salton Sea images

Thanks for the Salton Sea images, they convey the odd state of affairs there better than words can. -- Kaszeta 03:01, 21 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Astronomer bios

Nope, you don't know me. I've worked on a number of astronomer biographies based on online info and NASA ADS (winners of the Bruce Medal, Eddington Medal, Jackson-Gwilt Medal, comet and asteroid discoverers, etc). -- Curps 23:56, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Colorado_Anza1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Colorado_Anza1.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. [edit] Thanks!

I found one of your neat images on the Kelso Dunes page while patrolling for vandalism, and I thought someone should thank you for adding your own great images to Wikipedia. It gets frustrating sometimes playing whack-a-mole with the vandals, and it's always refreshing to come across someone's good work like this. — Kbh3rdtalk 04:14, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
