[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Crippen_on_british_telecom_phonecard.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Crippen_on_british_telecom_phonecard.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] License tagging for Image:Mamc001.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mamc001.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Crippen_on_british_telecom_phonecard.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Crippen_on_british_telecom_phonecard.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Notability of Pooja chauhan
A tag has been placed on Pooja chauhan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. WODUP 10:09, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] your Journal
I take an interest in articles on scientists & on scientific journals, and I would like to keep this article from being deleted--I have to warn you that a journal with your own name in the title will attract some unfavorable attention & it is in any case very difficult to convince some of the people here that academic journals are important--I have no more voice in the decision than anyone else. It would help to decrease the impression of self-advertising if the article were relatively modest and avoided the temptation to repeat its name many time, to use bold face italics, to put things into an unusually large number of categories, and to make the existing links and references look more important than they actually are. I have made some edits in these respects, and will make some more--as the edit screen says-- it is our basic principal that anything submitted here will be mercilessly edited. :) DGG (talk) 01:19, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
-
- I have similarly removed links to individual articles in this journal from he external links section of several article--we do not do this unless there is some very special reason--normally it is considered what we call WP:LINKSPAM.
- I also simplified the article on your medical school in line with similar articles. This isn't getting after you in particular--we administrators generally look around. DGG (talk) 02:26, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- I appreciate your cooperation--and, not thinking only about WP for the moment--wish the journal had been named differently.DGG (talk) 20:22, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
Hello Prof. Aggrawal, It's nice to see you editing here on wikipedia. You (hopefully) will find this limerick at the Portal India Quiz amusing. Regards. Abecedare 04:49, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Glad to hear that you enjoyed the ditty. You can email me through wikipedia by clicking here (or by going to my wikipedia page and clicking on the "Email this User" link in the left panel).
- I also saw that you created the biographical article at Anil Aggrawal. I think that is a good idea and arguably long overdue. However wikipedians are wary of conflict of interest when users create or edit their own biographical article, so it may be a good idea if in the future you comment on the article talk page, instead of editing the article directly, since that way any appearance of conflict can be avoided. Also it would be greatly helpful if you can provide any independent, reliable source where biographical details about you have been published - these can include for example, newspaper/magazine articles that are not written by you. I, as a neutral user, will be happy to incorporate any relevant content into the article itself.
- I look forward to hearing from you. Regards. Abecedare 23:56, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reply
Prof. Aggrawal,
To address the points raised in your email:
- You are already a wikipedian, since that term simply refers to anyone who edits here. We don't have any secret handshakes or codes, although we do try to keep the Five Pillars in mind. :-)
- You can edit your user page by simply clicking here and editing it as you would any other wikipedia page. Whenever you are logged in, you can also find a link to your user page (labeled Anil1956) and talk page (labeled "my talk") at the top of every wikipedia page. You can read some guidelines on what-to-have and what-not-to-have on ones user page at WP:USER
- As for the limerick, it is accessible at this location
- Finally, with regards to the Anil Aggrawal article: if you recall any newspaper/magazine articles about you, you can list the reference on the article's talk page so that other editors, besides me, too can help in incorporating that information into the page. (For example such a reference may look like, " A Times of India article titled 'Forensic Medicine in India that appeared on MM-DD-YYYY".)
If you have questions about editing here, please feel free to ask them on your/mine talk page o through email. Regards. Abecedare 18:36, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Jcsuri.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Jcsuri.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 14:36, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 1000 Love and Sex Quiz
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article 1000 Love and Sex Quiz, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the Nominator de-prodded. Probably better with a tag for notability. --Bfigura (talk) 04:48, 4 September 2007 (UTC){{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Bfigura (talk) 04:46, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Golden Triangle (disambiguation)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Golden Triangle (disambiguation), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Golden Triangle (disambiguation). Truthanado (talk) 21:58, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Online Sexual Activity
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}
" template to the article Online Sexual Activity, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 23:59, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Online Sexual Activity
An editor has nominated Online Sexual Activity, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Online Sexual Activity and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 18:59, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of Sumer's Radiology Weblog
A tag has been placed on Sumer's Radiology Weblog, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Also, please do not remove the tag from the article by yourself, as you have done previously with other articles. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 13:42, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] STOP Removing Tags from your OWN Articles
Hi, I had previously also requested you not to remove the tags put on articles written by you. But it seems that you have failed to see any reason. Your edit history shows that, you are trying to use Wikipedia as a Marketing Tool by writing favorably about you/your books/your projects. If you want to remove the tags, please cite independent references (this should not include claims by you published in any media) and then remove the tags. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 06:52, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 07:51, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Response to your queries
Dear Dr. Aggarwal, at the very outset, I would like to make my position clear. I do not have any doubts regarding your notability or for that matter, the notability of Dr. Sumer Sethi. I also understand that many of the articles written by you are there in the Wikipedia for months. Understandably your primary concern is about me, who suddenly appeared from nowhere and put up tags on some of the articles written by you.
Well, sir, let me defend my actions one by one.
- Regarding the notability of Sumer's Radiology Weblog, I have voiced my opinion, which can be found at the article's talk page as well as it's AFD page.
- Let me come to the article 1000 Love and Sex Quiz. There are sentences like Rupa approached him to write a book of popular appeal in their successful "1000 quiz series"; His first book 1000 Crime Quiz had proved successful; This challenge was successfully dealt with. and many more. As the author himself is writing the article about his book, there's every chance of painting false-positive picture, more so, as I could not see any references. I would be happy to help you cite references leading to removal of the tags, if you could point me to possible sources where these can be found.
- I would have removed the "autobiography" tag that I had put on your article Anil Aggrawal, as after thorough reading, I did not find anything which can be termed as glorifying the author who himself is the subject of the article in an undue manner.
Hope I make myself clear!
On a lighter note, I would not have dared to take panga with an Indian Doctor, especially when I am Indian living in India, if I was not sure that in my lifetime there's no chance of me going under your scalpel. :-)
Jokes apart, please do contact me, if I can be of any help. Thanks again. Shovon (talk) 15:04, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
