Template talk:Anime-stub
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I just wanted to say that I think it's interesting/ironic? that the icon we use for this message is of a character from a show that we don't even have an article for yet (as of December 26, 2004). Hopefully, someone can rectify this problem (I've never seen the show)... RADICALBENDER★ 06:04, Dec 26, 2004 (UTC)
- Also, on a related note, the picture is backwards (see [1]). RADICALBENDER★ 06:06, Dec 26, 2004 (UTC)
People might have not realized this, but that icon might be a copyrighted work, as it seems to be original art from Keiji Goto.
[edit] Image
Since the old image was removed to decrease load on the server, I'm wondering why it has now been replaced with a much bigger one? Shiroi Hane 02:50, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'm also wondering that. I nominate that it should be removed for that reason and also for the reason that it disrupts the formatting on some pages. - Squilibob 10:13, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, sorry about that. I'd assumed the problem had been fixed (the previous one was removed almost a year ago), but Jamesday announced yesterday that this isn't the case, and that purely decorative images should be removed. So no objections from me to taking it out. (Incidentally, Jamesday also said that the size of the image doesn't really matter). —Kirill Lokshin 20:00, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- I created a smaller image (2K instead of 80K), which will significantly reduce any server load. I think the stub looks nicer with the image than without. --日本穣 Nihonjoe 03:40, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Proposition for new template format
I'd like to propose a new centralized format to change the current one used in this template, and was wondering what the other editors think:
Personally I'd prefer a more centralized, boxed format, so I've designed the above with that idea in mind, similar to the stub templates used in the JA Wikipedia (example). Please feel free to share your opinions. ~ Ganryuu (talk) 11:20, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
