Talk:Ani-Monday

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I changed where it said "first move" into anime to "most recent move" since several years ago SCIFI had a Saturday morning anime block. Also they used to show anime on weekday mornings before that, in the 6-8am CST block. I still have some tapes of movies that were shown. Windless (talk) 05:12, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Windless

[edit] Accuracy of the List

I don't know if it's really needed here to have complete broadcast history, but I would appreciate some verification on precisely what has been aired so far. I can personally vouch for all of the presently listed items because I watched them myself (taped maost of them too) except for Dead Leaves, Kai Doh Maru, and Karas: The Prophecy--these I remember seeing listed on the schedules, but didn't bother tuning in for one reason or another. However, I do have questions about precisely which Macross title was aired... all I know is it was the same 4-part story that Starz/Encore used to run until recently. Not being much of a Macross/Robotech fan, I can't really say that this is an area I'm familiar with. Other than this, I don't believe anything is missing from the list. [edit] Listing Runtimes

Is it really important (yes or no) to list the runtimes of each and every broadcast item? If an article exists at all for a partiular title, then the important bit will be listed there anyway. In any case, if User:JRSpriggs insists on adding useless an abnoxious information, and then cry about vandalism when it is removed, then I will have a talk him about it. Simply replacing the data and then alphabetizing the entries to "make up for it" does not cut the mustard around here. I will leave the alphabetization, but the runtimes are gone until some justification is provided Sweetfreek (talk) 13:32, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

What is your problem? This information does not hurt anyone. It is useful, especially for the cases where an article on the movie or show does not exist. In the television listings in my local paper, these shows are not listed if they go past 12 midnight. So knowing whether a movie is one hour or two hours is useful because it lets me know whether to expect another program afterwards or not. JRSpriggs (talk) 20:10, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Saying that this information causes no harm doesn't mean that it won't. Suppose that someone chose to depend on wikipedia as his sole source for television schedules... by the time the information is published here, it will already over and they'll have missed it completely. Shouldn't you just tune in at 11:00PM EST and just continue until it is over--the block rarely exceeds two hours altogether. Besides, didn't you know already that the Sci-Fi Channel lists everything they show about a month in advance? Here is this Monday's schedule. And don't forget that animenewsnetwork.com has plenty of info too. And then there was February 2008, where they had Ani-Tuesday... I'll just go and add those to the list... I had a lingering feeling somewhere that there was more but I just couldn't quite bring it all to the front of my mind. Sweetfreek (talk) 07:12, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
