Anixter International (NYSE: AXE) is a Fortune 500 (#454, Fortune 2007) company based in Glenview, Cook County, Illinois, and founded in 1957. Anixter is a large distributor of communication products and electrical and electronic wire and cable, and a leading distributor of OEM fasteners and aerospace hardware. Anixter has physical presence in 46 countries and has over 5,000,000 square feet of warehouse space. Anixter Pentacon is the military/aerospace hardware distribution division of the company.
In 2006, the company had $4.9 billion in revenue with a global presence that includes 200 locations in 45 countries (180 different cities). The company operates with four major divisions:

- Electrical and Electronic Wire & Cable
- OEM Fastener (Anixter Fastener [1])
- Aerospace Hardware (Anixter Pentacon [2])
- Integrated Supply and Logistics Services
