Anita B. Brody

Anita B. Brody is a judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Born in 1935 in New York, New York, Judge Brody graduated from Wellesley College in 1955 and received her J.D.. from Columbia Law School in 1958. Judge Brody was a deputy assistant state attorney general in New York from 1958 to 1959. From 1973 to 1981 she was in private practice in Philadelphia. In 1981 Judge Brody was elected as a judge on the Court of Common Pleas for Montgomery County. In 1992 she was appointed by President George H.W. Bush to the Eastern District.
