Animerama
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Animerama is a series of Japanese adult animated films produced by Osamu Tezuka's Mushi Production studio from the late 1960s to early 1970s.
All are directed, at least in part, by Eiichi Yamamoto, and the first two also feature contributions from Tezuka himself. The first, A Thousand & One Nights, was the first erotic animated feature film, and at 130 minutes, it remains one of the longest ever animated films.
The three films in the trilogy are:
- A Thousand & One Nights (千夜一夜物語 Senya Ichiya Monogatari?) (1969)
- Cleopatra (クレオパトラ Kureopatora?) (1970)
- Belladonna (哀しみのベラドンナ Kanashimi no Beradona?) (1973)
All three where released onto DVD by the video division of Columbia Music Entertainment, both separately and as a box set, in 2004 in Japan, and re-released in 2006.
