Animal Prufrock

Animal Prufrock (b. 1975 in Queens, New York) is an openly lesbian singer-songwriter.[1] She is most well known for being the creator of the band Bitch and Animal.
Prufrock acted in a Clearasil commercial at age 17 and, since the breakup of "Bitch and Animal" has written a musical based on the Hothead Paisan comics by Diane DiMassa which was performed at the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival.[2]
She and "Bitch" have kept their birth-names out of publication for artistic and political reasons.
Animal is currently working on a new solo record due out in 2008 as well as her new band "Allora" which currently consists of herself, a bass player, and a mandolin/keyboard player.
