Animal is a 2005 direct-to-video film starring Ving Rhames, Terrence Howard, Jim Brown and Chazz Palminteri. It was directed by David J. Burke and written by David C. Johnson. It was followed up by a 2007 sequel Animal 2. The story of the William Lynch Speech is mentioned in the movie, and passed on from father to son to grandson. The movie holds that the story is factual.

His name: Infamous. His reputation: Ruthless. But when James "Animal" Allen (Ving Rhames) is locked up in a maximum security prison, he meets a revolutionary (Jim Brown) who changes his life.
