Anhui University (安徽大学, pinyin: Ānhuī Dàxué) is a university located in Hefei, Anhui province, in the People's Republic of China. It was founded in 1928 in nearby Anqing and moved to its current location in 1958. The school currently has approximately 34,600 students and 700 faculty members. It is noted for its foreign language programs, which include English, Russian, French, and Japanese. It is also noted for its economics department, especially international economics and trade. There is a saying "爱在安大“ means "lots of love affairs take place in Anhui University campus", though it may just be a joke. Anhui University has moved to its new campus in southwestern part of Hefei.
