Hello and welcome. Please note the highlighting convention: the title word or title phrase is highlighted at its first appearance in an article, like this. I took care of this in Maurice Noble. Michael Hardy 16:41, 22 Dec 2003 (UTC)

[edit] The Stand

Hi, regarding your "Project Blue" re-add, I took it out because I believe that was not part of the original version of the story; I tried to leave in only the plot aspects which were part of the original, Uncut, and TV versions. Let me know if you disagree, if not I will change this later. Thanks Jgm 11:50, 26 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sugar Maple cultivars

Hi Angilbas - thanks for adding the Sugar Maple cultivars, just a quick grammar check - they don't have commas and fullstops as part of the cultivar name ;-) MPF 00:08, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Samurai Jack episode titles

Hi, thanks for contributing to the References in Samurai Jack. I would just like to ask anyone contributing to this page to give their opinion on whether titles or Roman numerals should be used to refer to episodes. The discussion is at Talk:References in Samurai Jack. Thanks. Jack 04:12, 26 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Liriodendron

Hi Angilbas - do you know if anyone has ever done a botanical study of the east Florida 'ecotype'? - it would appear to me sufficiently distinct to be formally named as a separate subspecies; maybe even (given that its earlier flowering presumably makes it reproductively isolated?) a distinct species.

Also is there any possibility you might be able to persuade the photographer to release the photos under GFDL? - as it stands, the restriction "This permission does not extend to third parties" makes it illegal for wiki mirrors to display them, but the automated nature of wiki mirror formation prevents them from avoiding this.

Any chance of getting a GFDL photo of L. chinense, too? Unfortunately, there's none anywhere in my area, or I'd get one. - MPF 12:28, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Great to see success on getting them gfdl'd! - MPF 19:37, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sequoia ext link

Hi Angilbas - just to let you know, I removed the ext link you'd added as they're wrong, suffering from a classic Sequoia / Sequoiadendron confusion ;-) Britain's champ Sequoia is 48m, at Bodnant in Wales - MPF 20:48, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Liriodendron

Hi Angilbas - I've been thinking the page is getting a bit on the long side, and that it should (as in other similar instances) be split up into three pages, Liriodendron, Liriodendron chinense, and Liriodendron tulipifera, each covering what is relevant to the genus, and to the two species individually. Of these, the last already exists as a redirect back to Liriodendron, but that's easily changed. As you're heavily involved in the page, I thought I'd ask to see what you think first - MPF 13:00, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Boof Bonser

Hi Angilbas- I'm a counselor at a summercamp in NY and I actually posted a paragraph or so about the "obsession" that my campers, and even a couple of counselors, had with the Minnesota Twins pitcher, Boof Bonser. I'm not 100% sure, but I think you were the person who edited my posting out of the article. I would really like it to be posted, because I really do find it amusing, but as this is not something that is really newsworthy, I don't have any textual or online evidence that could prove it to be true except for the fact that I see it and know it is true. So, if you could please allow me to repost it, I think it would be great for my campers to see that and it would certainly be an interesting piece of trivia for true Twin fans! I believe if you look through the editing records, the paragraph is still on the website. Thanks for any help, and also, I do understand if you cannot post it again, so do not feel obligated if you feel you're pushing the rules. 23:30, 29 Aug 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Liriodendron stamp

Hi, while I appreciate your effort in turning up the Liriodendron chinense stamp, we can't actually use it, permission or no. The problem is that "permission" is too vague - does the permission still apply when the image is used in a version that is sold, such as the German WPers have done? What about commercial sites that reuse all or part of WP content? In any case, stamps are usually not accurate representation, the stamp designers frequently tinkering so as to make the designs more attractive. You might pinging UK Wikipedians to go down to Kew and take some pics firsthand - User:Arpingstone has been known to do this for example. Stan 21:40, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:My home, September 2007.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:My home, September 2007.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Plumsmaplesandmore.JPG. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:DSCF1302.JPG. The copy called Image:DSCF1302.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. [edit] License tagging for Image:Starr 070205 4085 carya pecan.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Starr 070205 4085 carya pecan.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 08:07, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Senneville tuliptree.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Senneville tuliptree.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 05:58, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
