I hope that my partial reorganisation of the article would help to improve its readability. I have also added information that was previously lacking. Timothyseanfang 15:09, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A Family A'Fair

I hope it is okay to write about my school's carnival. Please tell me if it is not okay and I will not write about it. Aranho 12:02, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Student plaza 2.jpg

Image:Student plaza 2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Renaming the articles

Please don't change the name to Anglo-Chinese School (Newton) as Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road) is the official name of the school. I know that the name of the article has not changed yet but please don't change it in. Aranho 03:48, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

  • Also, as far as the History of ACSis concerned, there has NEVER been an "ACS(N)", only ACS Barker Road. I don't think the name should be changed Sgtjohnsonx (talk) 10:56, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

I have recently viewed the history section and came across some vandalism (V) and incorrect informations (I). Here is the list of vandalism and/or incorrect information:

  • (I) Billwong20 said that the school won 5th place in the ACJC Geography Quiz when actually, the school won 4th place
  • (I) Here is what I found in the history:
CCA Drama@ACS Chinese Orchestra Dance@ACS Concert Band ACS Madrigal Choir
SYF 2005 Gold Gold Silver Bronze Bronze
SYF 2007 Gold with Honours Gold with Honours Silver Certificate of Participation Silver

According to the history, 203.124.2.41 said the follwing awards the school won in SYF 2007. I am not sure whether this is correct.

  • (V) Walkinginthelight vandalise the Performing Arts section
  • (V, I) Walkinginthelight also said that the Concert Band had closed down in 2007 when actually the Concert Band has not closed down.
  • (V, I) 203.120.68.66 also vandalise the Performing Arts section with the follwings
  1. Deleted a huge chunk of information
  2. Said that Drama@ACS was disquaified in the SYF 2007
  3. Said that Dance@ACS and ACS Madrigal Choir got Bronze when they actually got Gold with Honours and Silver respectively.

With the follwing vandalism, do you think it is necessary to put this article under the Wikipedia:Requests for page protection? Aranho 06:17, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
