Angus MacNisse

Angus MacNisse[1] (died 514) was the first bishop of Connor. His story as known is largely legendary[2]. Traditionally, he was a student of Saint Olcan, and was baptized by Saint Patrick. He is considered the founder of Kells monastery, having been at Kells as a hermit.

He is a Catholic saint, feast day 4 September[3].
