Angoulême International Comics Festival

The Angoulême International Comics Festival (French: Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d'Angoulême) is the main comics festival in Europe. It occurs every year since 1974 in Angoulême, France.

Every year, the Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême is awarded to an author for his whole work or for his achievement in the evolution of comics.

Prizes are given in the following categories :

• Prize Awarded by the Audience
• Prize for Scenario
• Prize for Artwork
• Prize for First Comic Book
• Prize for a Series
• Prize for Inheritance
• Prix Jeunesse 9-12 ans
• Prix Jeunesse 7-8 ans
• Fanzine Prize
• Hope Prize
• Best promotional comic
• René Goscinny award
