Anglican Diocese of Armidale

The Anglican Diocese of Armidale is a diocese of the Anglican Church of Australia, located in the state of New South Wales, and like the Dioceses of Sydney and North-West Australia is noted for its Evangelical teaching.
The diocese includes the regional cities of Tamworth and Armidale and the towns of Glen Innes, Tenterfield, Inverell, Moree, Gunnedah and Narrabri.
The cathedral church of the diocese is St Peter's Cathedral, Armidale, and the current Bishop of Armidale is The Right Reverend Dr Peter Brain.

The Diocese of Armidale is responsible for the administration of four independent, Anglican schools:[1]
- Calrossy Anglican School for Girls, East Tamworth
- New England Girls' School (NEGS), Armidale
- The Armidale School (TAS), Armidale
- William Cowper Anglican Boys High School, North Tamworth
[edit] Link Diocese
Following a 2004 synod visit by Bishop Edward Muhima of the Diocese of North Kigezi in Uganda, there has been a forging of a support link between the two Diocese. The Diocese of North Kigezi is in the South West of Uganda, with its office in Rukunjiri.[2]
