[edit] History
Angleton High School is part of the Angleton Independent School District (AISD). Several previous school locations were destroyed by hurricanes. The High School was once located in what is now the Early Childhood Campus, as well as what is now Angleton Intermediate School. The varsity football stadium is located at Angleton Intermediate School. A 2007 Bond Proposal calls for the construction of a new school and athletic complex north of the current campus, on FM 523 in Angleton.

[edit] Traditions
[edit] Band
The Angleton High School Marching Band is known as the "Purple Pride".
After marching the outdated "military" style of marching for years, the band made the switch to "corps" style in the 2000 season to become more musical and visually appealing in the marching band activity. A year after the change, the band had one of its best years in group history where they were named the 2001 4A Champion at the U.S. Scholastic Band Association (USSBA) Marching Band Texas Regional. The band also advanced to the UIL Area F competition (the State Marching Band Championship qualifier) and was a participant of the Bands of America (BOA) San Antonio, TX & Houston, TX Regional Championships.
[edit] Mascots
The Mascot for all Angleton ISD schools is the Wildcat, "Willy."
[edit] Bonfire
Each Fall, the students and parents build and burn a large Bonfire before the football homecoming game. The Bonfire is currently held near the intermediate school campus.
[edit] Senior Serve
