Angie Phillips

Angie Phillips is a meteorologist for BBC Newsline. Phillips is from Belfast and was educated in Holywood in County Down. She trained at the Met Office's College in Reading, Berkshire, and joined the service in 1985. She became a weather forecaster in 1991. In 1993, she became a national weather presenter for ITN in London, England. She moved to the Newsline team in 1996, and has been the main weather forecaster since. Phillips also serves as a full-time employee of the Met Office. She is married with three children.

Phillips has also been active in conservationism and is a celebrity supporter of the conservation group Woodland Trust.
