[edit] Plot
Westfield Angel's football high school team is the worst ever. They haven't won a single football game in years. Jesse Harper is the best player on the Westfield's high school football team and is playing as tailback, shedding a new light for the team. After a terrible accident in a rain storm in which his father, Peter Harper, died, Jesse feels lonely and quits the team. Peter Harper was actually a football star back in his high school days himself.
That night when Jesse quit the team, Kevin, his younger brother, confronts him and tells him that football was a major part of Jesse's life. He tells Jesse that he belongs in the football team. Jesse responds by saying that the only way he would get back into the football team is if the team starts winning.
Jesse then walks upstairs into his room, and Kevin stays behind in the kitchen. He starts praying to the angels to come and help the football team win some games. That way, Jesse would come back and start playing again. The next day, the angels come. They're headed by Al, the only returning character from Angels in the Outfield. Kevin is the only one who can see the angels, though.
Game after game after game, Westfield keeps winning with the help of the angels. Kevin becomes a "lucky charm" for his brother's football team, since he can tell Coach Buck what the angels need.
At the same time somewhere else, Jesse begins to hang out with some really bad people. At one point in the movie, Jesse distracts a window washer at the gas station as his "shady" friends rob the cash registers. After Jesse pays the window washer, he leaves his wallet behind. The station attendant picks it up, and has the police visit the Harper's home.
The championship game is coming up the following day, and Coach Buck asks Jesse if he could possibly come back to the team and play in the game. Jesse accepts, since now he has confidence his team can win.
The climax of this movie comes on the day of the championship game. The championship game, coincidentally, is the Westfield Angels and Screaming Demons. However, there is a slight predicament Kevin is facing. It is a sort of "Heavenly Law" that says that angels cannot help out in championship games. In the end Kevin motivates the team by spontaneously flapping his arms like an angel. Soon, the entire football field is filled with people flapping arms like angels (except for the Screaming Devils, of course.) The movie ends when Westfield wins the football game and the spirit of Peter Harper appears to Jesse after he wins.
