Angels Landing is a rock formation measuring 5785 feet tall in Zion National Park in southern Utah. The trail that leads to the top of Angels Landing is regarded as one of the most spectacular and breathtaking in the entire National Park System. The trail is a five mile loop with a 1488 foot increase in altitude. The trail is strenuous and littered with sharp drop offs and narrow paths.
This trail is not recommended during darkness, thunderstorms, or ice/snow conditions. People have died while hiking the trail to Angels Landing. However, the views from the end of the trail are spectacular and well worth the climb.
