Heather Barlow was an idealistic girl who had a dream of making the world a better place. No one in her town shared her dream. Until she leaves on the Mercy Ship, a missionary ship that takes volunteers to Uganda, Africa. There Heather meets Ingrid, a Swedish girl who shares her hope that one day, the world will be peaceful. She also meets Ian, a Scotsman that teaches her to love God, and to love life. She finds things that touch her heart, and scar it terribly
