Angel Corpus Christi

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Angel Corpus Christi (real name Andrea Ross) is a San Francisco-based singer, songwriter and accordionist, who initially began recording with her husband, guitarist Rich Stim (formerly of MX-80).[1]

As well as writing and performing her own songs she has recorded albums of cover versions by artists such as The Ramones, Suicide, Alice Cooper, and Lou Reed.[2] After two low-key albums in the mid-1980s on Criminal Damage records, 1990 saw the release of Accordion Pop vol. 1, and The 80's, the latter featuring a guest appearance from Herb Alpert.[3] In the mid-1990s, she signed to the major-backed label Almo Sounds, who issued the White Courtesy Phone album in 1995.[3] She has also recorded with Dean Wareham (formerly of Galaxie 500 and Luna) and Alan Vega (of Suicide),[3] and played accordion on Spiritualized's 1997 album Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space.[4]
