Angeja is a parish in the municipaly of Albergaria-a-Velha, with 21,08 km² of area, and 2,320 inhabitants (2001).
Between 1514 and 1853 Angeja was a municipaly. It had a parish, and in 1801 it had 1 740 inhabitants. After the first changes of liberalism some others parish were anexed: Canelas, Fermelã and Frossos. It had, in 1849, 5 124 inhabitants.
