Ange Diawara

Ange Diawara (born 1941- died 1973) was a politician and military figure from the Republic of the Congo. A founding member of the Congolese Party of Labour, Diawara was on the political bureau of the party and a government minister until losing favor with Marien Ngouabi in 1971. Diawara led a failed coup d'état against President Ngouabi in February 1972. Fleeing Brazzaville, Diawara and the other conspirators were eventually captured and killed in 1973.
