[edit] License tagging for Image:Jepson.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Jepson.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] News is not encyclopedic
Much of the info being posted to the Gillingham FC page is current club news and rumour, and it is more suited to other sites than an encyclopedia. Transient issues of players' contract status are not the purpose of Wikipedia (good though ot is to have another Gills fan on here) Kevin McE 21:38, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Andy Thomson Steve Buttler and Iffy Onuora celebrate the Gills going up.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Andy Thomson Steve Buttler and Iffy Onuora celebrate the Gills going up.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: TemplateName
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 12:07, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gills players' statistics
You do a stirling job of keeping these up to date, but according to [Template_talk:Infobox_Football_biography], this stat should only count league matches, so I'm afraid today's updates were inappropriate. Kevin McE 21:35, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Museum of Kent Life
I've added the "prod" template to the article Museum of Kent Life, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Museum of Kent Life. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. [edit] Gills
Today you removed one of the citations I added to the GFC article and put a big chunk of deleted text back in. These changes were made as a result of a Peer Review in preparation for a nomination for Featured Article status. In particular all the stuff about Neale Cooper was removed because it was deemed that the History section was far too loaded towards the last 15 years. I'd be grateful if you could refrain from undoing the changes I'm making ahead of the FA nomination. Many thanks ChrisTheDude 20:34, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Age
There's a proper template for doing age/date of birth, namely birth date and age. It even recalculates itself automatically so that you don't have to remember to change it every time a player has a birthday. I'll go through and apply the template to all the Gills' players' articles tomorrow, right now I'm off to bed.... ChrisTheDude 23:06, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] July 2007
Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thank you. Tiddly Tom 16:55, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Updates
When updating Gills players' pages, please could you remember the following points:
- Do not start a sentence with "Was announced....", this is not grammatically correct, it should be "It was announced....."
- A sentence needs a full stop at the end.
- When linking another club's name, please pipe it to hide the ugly "F.C." eg typing Brentford will link to the Brentford F.C. article but only display Brentford.
- Dates should be typed as, for example 18 January 2008 not 18th, etc.
Cheers! ChrisTheDude (talk) 15:59, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
