[edit] Paul Carlson

Hi -- I'm afraid I am confused by your edits to the article Paul Carlson. After creating the article and editing it, you appear to have re-attached a {{db-bio}} tag, marking it for speedy deletion under CSD:A7, "An article about a real person, group of people, band, or club that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject." As the subject appeared on both the cover of Time (magazine) and Life (magazine), CSD:A7 clearly does not apply, and I then removed the tag in the course of stub-sorting.

If re-adding the tag was unintentional, please ignore this, but if not, an explanation of your rationale would be very helpful. If you have any questions about article deletion, cleanup, or other editing topics, please feel free to ask here or at the help desk. Cheers, MCB 06:55, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Paulcarlson.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Paulcarlson.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:07, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
