[edit] Welcome
Hello, AndyS UK, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Newcomers help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Editing tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! [edit] Warning
You only seem to be here to vandalise and to perpetuate the Austin Purfleet hoax. If you do it again, you will be blocked. CLW 16:58, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- Please don't change my comments to make it look as if I said something I didn't. This is silly vandalism, and for some strange reason may result in you being blocked from editing. CLW 11:22, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
I am most sorry CLW if I offended you in some way. I was only trying to brighten up my otherwise dull morning. Please forgive me. AndyS UK 11:48, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The Austin Purfleet Memorial and Scholarship Fund
Have you considered sticking around more constructively? You clearly have enthusiasm and energy, and a good sense of humor (...well, for some values of "good"...) and there are a lot of articles around here that would appreciate that drive.
The Requested articles section is quite large; my personal favorites are WP:AR2 and WP:CSB; and the Wikipedia:Community Portal will have many, many other requests for help.
