I wasn't actually experimenting, I thought it would be a good change to make.

Hi, please remember to sign your posts with four tildes. I have added the standard welcome message to your talk page; hopefully it will help you familiarize yourself with WP. KillerChihuahua?!? 09:10, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Verifiability

Andrew, it would be appreciated if you could hold off from making changes to the policy pages. In the case of WP:V, the changes contradicted the rest of the policy. We only publish what reliable sources have published. We don't use "truth" as our criterion, because everyone disagrees on what is true on any given point. So our policy is that if e.g. the London Times says it, we publish it and cite them. SlimVirgin (talk) 10:50, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fan Death

I point out to you that the other four quotes in the article are representative of the scientific consensus on the subject. Almost all experts in the field classify it as an urban legend, and not doing so is lending undue weight to the POV that fan death is a real phenomenon, and that lending undue weight to a minority position is against Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy. --Kuzaar-T-C- 12:49, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Even so, if you read the first quote carefully, note that he categorically disbelieves in the phenomenon of fan death, thinking that it is, at worst, a contributing factor to the death of people with far more serious problems. That is the reason that I strongly believe that the article should refer to fan death- that is, death for which the fan in the room is the primary cause- as an urban legend. --Kuzaar-T-C- 12:27, 30 June 2006 (UTC)

Read the reference - I will not reference every single sentence with a seperate tag, the GHD report is already linked 14 times. MadMaxDog 06:15, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Milford Sound Airport

Hello Andrew,

Nice to see you working on here. Thanks for creating the Milford Sound Airport page. I did a couple smaller fixes and wikifications. Can I ask a couple additional questions?

  • Is that the official name? Not "airfield"/"aerodrome" or something? Just checking.
  • Do you have any official statistics in terms of flight numbers? I already tried to dig up stuff for my work on Transport in Milford Sound, but managed to find nothing. I heard that in fact it would be one of the busiest airports in New Zealand...
  • Can you provide a few more references? Such as for the first landing, and for the runway data ect... I was gonna stick a {{moresources}} tag on it, but that would have been a bit rude, seeing that I could just ask you as well...

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Toylovesmall.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Toylovesmall.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:34, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
