[edit] Removal from UT Austin Article
Andrew, I've noticed that you've twice removed two sentences from the section of the UT Austin Student Organization section relating to student government. Could you please provide, on that article's talk page an explanation for why these sentences are being removed. I will continue to revert your removals until you provide a reason as I see none. Also, in the future please provide a summary of the edits (possibly containing reasoning) in the box labeled "Edit Summary" right above the "Save Page" button when you are editing a page. This allows us other editors to be able to see some of your reasoning and helps us to differentiate your edits from vandalism. Thanks. will381796 (talk) 18:06, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Friar society logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Friar society logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 05:39, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Friar society logo.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Friar society logo.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:25, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

An article must provide independent verifiable sources that it meets the notability guidelines. The link will give you a good summary. Remember that it must also be encyclopaedic in tone, non-promotional and non-copyright Jimfbleak (talk) 18:26, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
