[edit] Marcos Senna and Manchester United

Please refrain from altering articles without any citations or proof. You altered both the Manchester United and Marcos Senna articles based on speculation and not on hard fact. Wikipedia is based on actual fact, not on speculation. Niall123 21:46, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] June 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Subliminal Army, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do and please read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. — PyTom 20:04, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Transfers section

You may have spent time creating it, but that is not my concern. If people want to view the latest transfers, they can go to the List of English football transfers 2007-08 article. It was determined ages ago that club articles are not the appropriate place to list the latest transfers. Please don't add a section like that again. - PeeJay 12:05, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Subliminal Army, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. --Finngall talk 16:49, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

(Copying reply from the article talk page in case it gets deleted before you see it there...)
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a band directory. We have to draw a line somewhere, else we'd be inundated by articles on every crappy band on six continents. (I'd even say seven, but this band from Antarctica actually made the cut) As it is, we delete dozens of band articles per day. The standards in WP:MUSIC are the community's consensus on where that line should be, and they are generally in line with the notability standards we keep on other subjects. You are welcome to discuss these standards on the appropriate page, but I wouldn't expect any major changes. The BBC link is better than a lot of bands can claim, but it still consists primarily of the band talking about themselves and not of an independent writer looking in from the outside, which would make it a far better reference. Also, there are thousands of "Battle of the Bands" competitions out there--winning a BotB simply does not justify having an article here, finishing second even less so.
Let me know if you have further questions. Take care. --Finngall talk 17:27, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
If they do become big, then an article here will certainly be welcome. Thanks for your understanding, and happy editing! --Finngall talk 17:34, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:JHCrashLanding.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:JHCrashLanding.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:16, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Keithmoondrummerwho.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Keithmoondrummerwho.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:25, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:DigitalDreamDoor.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:DigitalDreamDoor.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Speedy deletion of DigitalDreamDoor

A tag has been placed on DigitalDreamDoor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Manchester United F.C. season 2007-08

Hey man, I could use your help with this article. User:Matty4123 and an anon keep adding a ramshackle "Season overview" section to the article, which I am vehemently opposed to for various reasons as detailed in my edit summaries. As you can probably tell, I've used up my three reverts on that article for today, so if you wouldn't mind taking up the cause, I'd be much obliged. – PeeJay 21:26, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
