P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).

[edit] edits to talk:grinnell college

Welcome to Wikipedia. After a contribution you made at Talk:Grinnell College I rearanged the page to brin it into line with the Talk page guidelines suggests that you should:

  • "Start new topics at the bottom of the page: If you put a post at the top of the page, it is confusing and can also get easily overlooked. The latest topic should be the one at the bottom of the page.
  • "Make a new heading for a new topic: It will then be clearly separated into its own section and will also appear in the TOC (table of contents) at the top of the page. A heading is easy to create with == either side of the words, as in == Heading ==. The "Post a comment" feature can be used to do this automatically. (If you're using the default Wikipedia:Skin, you can use the "+" tab next to the "Edit this page" tab instead.) Enter a subject/heading in the resulting edit page, and it will automatically become the section heading." Pdbailey 20:54, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grinnell College

Thanks for adding that bit about self-governance! I hadn't even thought of that, but they practically hit you over the head during NSO with it, so should be in there! Minidoxigirli 06:12, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re Prairie lights

Hi Andersem. Are you going to add to this article, specifically anything that would make it appear more notable? As a single bookstore, I don't know as it would be notable enough to qualify for an article. But it might, if there's something special about it -- does it play a part in getting new authors off the ground, are literary seminars held there, has it been existance for a really long time, something like that? Here's what I'm going to do: I'm going to PROD it, which is proposed deletion. You can unPROD it by just removing the tag, but I think only if you add significant info should you do so. If you don't unPROD it in five days, it'll be deleted, OK? And by the way, welcome back, and I don't mean to discourage you, just keeping stuff up to standard here. • Ah, so. Very good then. Herostratus 07:40, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
