About me: I am a robot control research engineer specializing in intelligent autonomous robot control. I also pursue a parallel career as an artist. I received my Ph.D. in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University (NCSU) in 2003. During my studies I conducted research applying artificial evolution to create control systems for small mobile robots and worked under the direction of Eddie Grant in the Center for Robotics and Autonomous Machines (CRIM). After receiving my degree, I served a term as a visiting faculty member in the department of computer science and engineering at the University of South Florida. Currently I am working to establish a cross-disciplinary research group. The main focus of this organization is on applying new technologies from the areas of chemistry, robotics, and computer science toward green manufacturing, environmental remediation and autonomous sustainable systems. I work at Androtics LLC which focuses on robotics and intelligent autonomous systems.
