[edit] Small request

Hello Andrevan, I noticed you handled the recent promotion of Alex.muller. I was wondering, when you are about to promote someone to sysop, and they have rollback rights, would you mind removing the rollback flag when adding the admin one? It's just that users don't need both the rollback and sysop flags. Thanks. Acalamari 19:20, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, you don't have to if you don't want to, but it prevents other users from removing the right instead. Acalamari 19:29, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rename

Thanks so much for a prompt move!!--TreasuryTag (talk|contribs) 18:53, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Question

What wasn't Truco9311 changed into Truco-X ? iMatthew 2008 14:18, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

No Truco9311 wanted to change it to Truco-X (With the dash) not Truco X. NimiTize 19:34, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Name Change

Why was my name not changed? I have a clean record and that username is not in use and there was no clerk note.--|-|TrUCo-X|-| 14:55, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

What NimiTize said, I wanted it with the dash, is that not allowed in signatures?--TrUCo-X 21:06, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
So are you going to do his request, he didnt do anything wrong, just wants a name change, and why dont you want to respond? NimiTize 20:29, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
But he just wants it to flow, if mabye you can just do that. He dosent like the numbers. NimiTize 00:38, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

New York City Meetup

Last: 1/13/2008
This box: view  talk  edit

In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, and have salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the last meeting's minutes).

Well also make preparations for our exciting Wikipedia Takes Manhattan event, a free content photography contest for Columbia University students planned for Friday March 28 (about 2 weeks after our meeting).

In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.

You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.

You're also invited to subscribe to the public Wikimedia New York City mailing list, which is a great way to receive timely updates.
This has been an automated delivery because you were on the invite list. BrownBot (talk) 02:19, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] My request for bureaucratship

As an aside, thank you for supporting the closure of my candidacy as successful, despite your own opposition. I was impressed and gladdened by your impartiality. ~ Riana 07:09, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, which wasn't included with your recent edit to Astrobotic Technology. Thank you. This is especially true when modifying references. E_dog95 Hi 18:38, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sure it is...

The comment is a friendly reminder. Sometimes we need those. Take care... E_dog95 Hi 18:56, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Your comments on my talk page show verify that you're not working with others as well as you should. Your revert also proves this. If you want your change on the Astrobotic Technology to stick, you shouldn't simply revert it; you should make the modification and add the appropriate edit summary. E_dog95 Hi 19:56, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
What is it that ur changing with the article? Can u please leave an edit summary saying what (and why) you've changed it? Before you revert again, just consider not using the undo button. Make the change and leave an edit summary. Your actions here show a lack of willingness to work together. That is simply all I'm trying to do here. No malice intended.

Once more: when reverting my last edit to Astrobotic Technology do not use the undo button. That would leave less room for you to clearly say why you've removed a reference and provided another. Please!

E_dog95 Hi 20:02, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Poor leaership

It took you more than an hour to finally say what you're intentions were with that simple edit. During that hour, you accused me of vandalism, threatened me with blocking, and generally showed poor conduct when collaborating with others. I do not respect your ways, nor your ability as an editor on this collaboration-based encyclopedia. E_dog95 Hi 20:07, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit that you made to User talk:E dog95 has been reverted or removed because it was a misuse of a warning or blocking template. Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do, or take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. Thank you. E_dog95 Hi 20:09, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] You're right

I should have contacted you on your talk page regarding the edit. That would have been a better way to get an answer.

Having said that, editors should not have to contact or research other editors changes. That's what the edit summary is for. Please read this, as it is the guide by which my comments have been based.

I want to reiterate that my actions today were without malice. I just took the wrong route to prove a point. We need to work together, especially on the upcoming Google Lunar X Prize articles. Cheers man. E_dog95 Hi 04:30, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RAWWRRRRRRRRRR

You are an outrage to the political community. You have gotten away with deleting important edits for the past 2 years and it will come to an end NOW. Your vandalism will not be tolerated any further. What you gonna do andrew?? edit this comment out?? caught u in a loophole did I? Speaking of loopholes, you just lost the game.

[edit] Unified login

Hi! I want to create a unified login, named INFOMAN. But this login already exists on en.wikipedia.org. It has only two edits, both on 3 April 2005. Can this name be freed for me? ru:User:INFOMAN, 2008-05-28 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.106.251.100 (talk) 22:32, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Unified login

Hi, when trying to get a unified login account as Mollerup, there is a conflict with an existing user account with that name on enwiki. Is it possible to resolve this conflict? My main account is on nowiki. My temporary account here on enwiki: Mollerup-no (talk) 09:34, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] SUL and accounts in other countries

[edit] tedder via SUL

Andre, I created a global account (via SUL), and I own the en.wikipedia version. However, user 'tedder' exists on other sites (see sulutil.php). Do I have to ask for those accounts to be usurped at every local level? Or can you help me with this? I've asked on the wikimedia steward request page, which is how I ended up asking you for help. Tedder (talk) 22:15, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Change of name

Could you help me change my user name from “Olve” to “Olve Utne”? Thanks in advance! :-) Olve (talk) 16:30, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mea Culpa!

I read 'may' as 'march' for whatever reason, thanks for the revert! :) SQLQuery me! 06:43, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
