[edit] Hello
Technically, I shouldn't contact you about this but this is disturbing. You believe that religion should not be mixed with government. Church and state means no National Church, not not minglement between government and religion. --69.67.231.5 23:49, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wall of Honor
Andrevan, How you been? It's been a long time. I just want you to know that I've inducted you into the "Wall of Honor{". Take care, Tony the Marine 22:40, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Centralized video game navbox discussion
You previously expressed a strongly-stated opinion about a video game navbox or all video game navboxes in general, or perhaps I clicked on your talk page by mistake. Whichever it is, you are invited to offer your opinion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games#Navboxes III: Son of Navboxes. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 07:26, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Main Page Vandalism
I see you vandalised the main page in November 2006. I suggest you stop. consider yourself warned. Rainbowwarrior1976 04:45, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] You are still listed on the Admin coaching request page
Your name is still listed at Requests for an admin coach. If you are no longer looking for a coach, or you currently have one, please remove yourself from that list. Thank you. The Transhumanist 23:50, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think you sent me the wrong message. I am an admin coach (though I haven't done anything much yet), I'm not looking for one. Andre (talk) 00:09, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- Then this works out well then, because your student contacted me stating that he forgot who his coach was. It's you! If you'd like to move forward with your coaching assignment, please contact Icelandic Hurricane to get started, and remove his name from the requests list. Have fun coaching. [edit] RE: Kid Icarus/TOSE
I don't think TOSE developed this game. Although this is stated in various places on the Internet, I think that TOSE's role was to port the game to the Game Boy. As you can see at MobyGames, there are plenty of standard Nintendo R&D1 folks in the credits. Andre (talk) 22:35, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- As standard with TOSE's business practice. They almost never put their own programmers names in credits. It's possible that they would be behind the port for the GBA re-release, however the source I provided, as well as many others, point to them as the developers for the Disk System version (pre-dating the NES release). Since it is TOSE's practice to explicitly not use their own names on the games credits, they probably inserted R&D1 names (possible those who had a small role after the code was sent to Nintendo) because they needed to put something in there. [edit] Somebody recreated Mario Forever
User:Pampers tried to recreate Mario Forever using an alternate name: Super Mario 3: Mario Forever. This user also recreated Secret Maryo Chronicles. I don't know how to get this deleted because I'm not an admin. If I delete it, then I might be considered a vandal. Frankyboy5 06:45, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Avoiding shortpages
Howdy! A question about this edit, will it work? I assumed that the short pages were calculated off of the content of the article itself, not the content of a transcluded template. As such, the 'apparent size' of a deleted page would still be 15 bytes, whether {{deletedpage}} was a smiley face or a Dostoevsky novel. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 20:12, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: RfA Formatting
I would ask you to look over the discussion of the subject on my RfA's page (especially the banner at the top). I am not responsible for the format of the page. It was not my idea, I didn't implement it, and I do not support it. I simply consented to having it done because a few people "wanted to see how well it worked." Well, there you go. They can see how well it works.
If you oppose my RfA because you aren't comfortable with my answers to the questions, or my handling of x situation, or even my low edit count, I can accept that. I actually appreciate constructive criticism. But please don't oppose strictly because you don't like the format. It's got little to do with my ability to serve as an administrator. --Moralis (talk) 21:17, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Thank You All
As you all know, some hacker cracked my password and I have been stripped of my admin powers. I can understand an admin. being blocked, but stripped of his powers without a fair hearing or consensus, I can't. I have stated that I changed my password and would like my powers back, however the chastizing going on in [[1]] has sadden me. It doesn't matter how many articles you have written, contributions you have made or how many years you have dedicated to making this project a credible one. A hacker, it seems has the power of making people consider you an untrustful person and turning some people in the community against you.
I have never abused of my powers and I have used Wikipedia as a medium to educate others. Yes, I have no regrets about having made so many contributions to the Pedia. I exhort all of my friends here to make sure that their passwords are strong ones so that you will not have to go through what I am going through.
I did promise some of my friends a couple of articles and as a good Marine I will keep my promise. To my friends here, Thank you for your friendship. Tony the Marine 23:54, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Four color theorem
Hi Andrevan, this is with reference to your kind offer to mediate on my talk page, that I just saw after all this time (silly me, I never expected any sensible response from wikipedia!). Well, it was always clear to me that the people involved in that discussion (Talk: Four Color Theorem (archive2)) wanted to prevent a reference to Ashay Dharwadker's proof in the main article, by any and all possible means. I don't think they expected that their strategy would backfire on them. I think the discussion actually ended up convincing a lot of people that the proof was correct! No credit to me, the proof itself is crystal clear to anybody with the average graduate level mathematics training. I now find that full credit is given to Dharwadker in the Spanish Wikipedia article of the same name [2]. However, this now seems to have become an ego problem for the editors of the English page, who refuse to update the information in the English version! The English article must be updated (and soon) by impartial and unbiased people. Well, I hope that wikipedia can keep up its good reputation and good luck to you! Rstewart 18:23, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Spaldeen image.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Spaldeen image.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.Betacommand (talk • contribs • Bot) 19:27, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Super Mario 64
Andreavan, Jumping Flash and Bug are not true 3d games. (please see the screenshots on both articles)
Hi Ramanean
I just checked to notice how good are you in preventing Vandalism!
Meanwhile
I wish to be a wikipedian and I wish to know
how an article should be created
Example
My directory Bigoole.com has nearly 8 million listings I wrote an article about its use and significance but the bot said that this article is up for speedy deletion and you should tell about the significance of the article
I do not know how to stop that deletion and the article has been deleted now
In a fit of rage I changed the Dmoz
Sorry for my behaviour!

[edit] Happy Birthday Andrevan!
Best wishes from Canada, cheers! ;-) --RobNS 02:35, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[edit] Passive voice
In regards to your recent edit to WikiProject Video games/Article guidelines, I think perhaps you don't understand what the passive voice means for video game articles. It wouldn't be an issue with WP:WEASEL or the Manual of Style. The passive voice is a valid writing technique for cases like this.
- Thank you for bringing your view to my attention. I would like to discuss this more on the talk page. Would you please add more about it there? Thanks! ☺ Taric25 20:50, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GCOTW
I've marked it as historical because even though people have been voting, the current GCOTW has not been nominated since Bomberman. As soon as someone else starts updating the different templates as described in the update guide the page can be marked as non historical again. I just don't have the time to update it on a consistent basis. JACOPLANE • 2007-07-2 21:25
- Well, there's little point in voting / nominating articles if the page is never actually updated. I had hoped that marking it as historical would cause someone else to take charge in the update process. This has been discussed, by the way. JACOPLANE • 2007-07-2 21:30
