[edit] Friendly Chat

Hi, I just thought that I would let you know that Linuxbeak has nominated me for adminship. I would like to invite you to participate at WP:RFA if you wish to do so. Thank you and take care Tony the Marine

[edit] RFA

Hi. To let you know (if you didn't already), I have replied to your comments on my RFA. OvenFresh² 18:34, 26 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Infamous's Adventures

Andrevan, I saw your name on the CVG-project list, so I brought this question here. I ran across Infamous's Adventures, and wanted to ask your opinion about it. As it stands, it's a BLATANT advertisement, but I'm not familiar enough with cvg-issues to decide if it's fixable, or if it's vfd-able. Joyous 20:13, May 28, 2005 (UTC)

  • Hi there! I noticed this notice... I'm well acquainted with both AGDI and Infamous. The former is pretty famous in the fangame community since they remade a couple of oldbies (KQ1 and KQ2, QfG2 pending) and did it so well that they got official permission from the owner (Sierra) to continue. The latter, however, is vanity, since while they have good intentions, they haven't yet released anything. Radiant_* 09:08, Jun 6, 2005 (UTC)

Andrevan, just letting you know that I've put Infamous's Adventures up for deletion, if you want to comment there. Based on Radiant's comments here, I'm leaving AGDI alone. Joyous 17:42, Jun 6, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thank You

What a year! My first year in Wiki, a featured article and now administrator. Thank you for your support. I feel honored to have befriended you. I will be counting on your advice and guidanceTony the Marine

[edit] Thanks

Hey Andre, thanks for your vote in support of my admin nomination. Paul August 16:55, Jun 1, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Possible new mediator and committee chair

Mgm has nominated himself to be a mediator and indicated he's willing to take over as chair. In an effort to help keep the mediation process alive, it would be nice if you could comment on this at Wikipedia:Mediation Committee. --Michael Snow 20:09, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mediation

I'm wondering why you still haven't participated in any cases. Is it a lack of cases coming in? A lack of familiarity with the subject or dispute on your part? or something completely different? Mgm|(talk) 21:36, Jun 4, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] My RFA: Thank you

Thank you for your support on my RFA. Now that I have been promoted, I promise to be as hardworking and fair with the admin tools as I have been with the other areas here on Wikipedia. See you around and happy editing. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 00:30, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mediation (2)

Thanks for answering the question. If I get accepted as chair of the MC, I'll push a few cases your way. Mgm|(talk) 19:45, Jun 7, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for your support

Thank you for voting on my RFA. Have some pie! I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer number of supporters (including several people that usually disagree with my opinion). I shall do my best with the proverbial mop. Yours, Radiant_>|< 08:17, Jun 8, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] User:Humanbot update 08 June 2005

Version two-two released today includes in that green box a nice count of how many articles are left. This more or less co-incides with the event of hitting only 1000 articles remaining. Also, I have re-arranged the User:Humanbot page to make it easier to get to the right stuff. Progress charts, wikicookies, wikilove and a more thorough spelling check is promised when this is completed. (and also when the exam pressure eases off a little on me) r3m0t talk 17:41, Jun 8, 2005 (UTC) Note: If you think this message was too trivial for a mailing, tell me and I'll stick to more important announcements on the list.

[edit] User:Humanbot update 13 June 2005

The spelling2 project (to work on secondary namespaces) was opened and finished. Progress charts will be available soon.

Version six-three tracks who made the edits, and rankings are available. Much of the work was done while I was asleep, explaining my low place ;).

The next project, which may even be released today, will probably fix incorrectly capitalised headings, particularly "See Also" and "External Links".

The mailing list has grown to 24 people and while that is very nice for my ego, it is rather difficult to send out updates. This is why I did not send out a notice that the spelling2 project had opened. From now on, then, you must watch User:Humanbot/announce for updates. r3m0t talk 12:03, Jun 13, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Can you mediate?

Could you please take a look at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Rangerdude and the appropriate section on WP:AN/I and ask them if they (Rangerdude and Willmcw) are willing to mediate? Things seem to be escalating and spilling over into other pages and I'm too busy with the mediation on Furry and Houston Chronicle myself. - Mgm|(talk) 08:43, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)

Yes, I am very much interested in mediation. Thanks, -Willmcw 22:04, Jun 25, 2005 (UTC)
If you are still willing to host this one please let me know & we can proceed to establishing mediation parameters. Thanks. Rangerdude 2 July 2005 01:43 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you

Hi Andre! I know this is a bit late, but I wanted to thank you for your strong support on my RFA. Thanks to everyone who voted for me, I am now an admin, and I have been using my powers to help further Wikipedia in general. Thanks! Linuxbeak | Talk | Desk 23:58, Jun 15, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mgm and the Med com chair

I've been in touch with Mgm and he's only waiting for a final, clear 'go' signal to take the chair and get things moving again with mediation. Do you feel like letting him know how you feel? Dan100 (Talk) 18:56, Jun 16, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] I'm having a real problem with Ed Poor and have formally requested mediation

See also his talk page and the administrator's noticeboard for details.

Really need some help here, serious disruption by means of multiple page moves at Qur'an desecration controversy of 2005. Talk page there will make for interesting reading, as well. BrandonYusufToropov 19:30, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Please see Krytocracy

While "krytocracy" may indeed be a valid word for a form of government, it is used mostly in the US by elements of the extreme political right- which should indicate that we must insure such an article meets the NPOV of Wikipedia.

[edit] Question

Hi my friend, I have a dumb question. How can I post my name "Tony the Marine" with the date and time? When I do the 4 waves, Marine 69-71 with the date and time appears but I would like "Tony the Marine" plus talk to appear because it is more informal and more people have gotten to know me like that. So, can you teach me how to do it? Thanks Marine 69-71 07:17, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Help needed please, regarding my entry

I am Romath. I posted the page concerning myself, my career, and my website after seeing a page ful of lies written by a group of young detractors calling themselves 'kotagor' and 'meow'.

I corrected the document, and added a little more information to it yesterday.

Now today, my document is flagged, complaining that 'it does not appear that the information contained is factual, and it was under discussion'.

What is going on here? When their lies concerning me were up on the screen, nothing was posted against them, for some reason.

I found the original page with their lies on a search, coming across this by accident.

I am the one they are lying about, and I feel I have the right to straighten those lies out. After all, they have maligned not only my private life, but my professional career.

Why am I being subjected to suspicion while the lying parties get off scot-free?

Would you please contact me at romraidr@vianet.ca

Thank you.
