Talk:Andrews
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
James Pettit Andrews is currently buried in the depths of the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica and awaiting resurrection. --KF 12:56 6 Jul 2003 (UTC)
I don't know what this is (just my browser?!?) and how to change it, but I see question marks all over the page, for example (copied and pasted from the article):
- Dana Andrews ? American actor (1909 ? 1992), President of the Screen Actors Guild
What I see is not a hyphen or a dash but a question mark (typed myself):
- Dana Andrews ? American actor (1909 ? 1992), President of the Screen Actors Guild
Can someone help? <KF> 22:34, 1 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Somebody used one of the *%&^%#! nonstandard hyphens at some point, and some other editor mangled further. IMHO people should stick to ASCII hyphens and let WP software create en-dash/em-dash/whatever. Stan 23:27, 1 Aug 2004 (UTC)

- Thanks, but this doesn't really answer my question whether it's just me (or a small minority) who see(s) question marks everywhere. Anyway, I've replaced them now with hyphens. I hope they are correct. Any feedback? <KF> 01:23, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)
