Talk:Andrew Watson (footballer)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Someone called James Lovelock and someone called Andrew Watson introduced Daisyworld in 1983 in a paper to illustrate the plausibility of the Gaia hypothesis.
[edit] Other Andrew Watson
Well if the other Andrew Watson seems important enough an article should be created for him. It just needs to be figured out how to differentiate between these people, and use this current page for a disambiguation page. Someone elsewhere in wikipedia must have covered this. Additionally it would be great if we had a date of death(?) for this (footballer) Andrew Watson, just to help in differentiating. - Master Of Ninja 11:12, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
It appears that the atmospheric researcher Andrew Watson is currently a professor at the University of East Anglia. See the page for Watson at UEA. I don't know if anyone wants to make a page for him -- I don't really know much about him -- but there is a link to the Andrew Watson page from the Daisyworld page, which currently makes it very misleading. How would one make a disambiguation page? If we do that, do we need to make a page for the professor? --Avram 19:57, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
Looks like we're done disambiguating. Someone has already created a page for Andrew Watson (scientist), so I'm going to just rename this one to Andrew Watson (football player) and create a disambiguation page. Avram (talk) 20:54, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Not captain
"Soon Watson won three international caps for Scotland including captaining them to a 6-1 victory against England on March 12, 1881, making him the first black international player and captain." - Not true according to http://www.londonhearts.com/scotland/games/18810312.html and http://www.londonhearts.com/scotland/players/andrewwatson.html Jooler 08:49, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- Just to clarify the point, he played but was not captain for any of the matches. Jooler 22:20, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
