[edit] Continual Reverts of Off-topic & unencyclopedic entries

User at IP 129.252: Please stop reverting to harmful unencyclopedic and off-topic entries about a non-notable subject. This subject does not even meet Wikipedia's standards of notability for a musician. WP:MUSIC For all practical purposes, the subject is a private individual. Posting about a private individual's academic information is at best not in the spirit of Wikipedia, at worst unethical and invasive to privacy. How would you like someone to blog about your college grades? Wikipedia guidelines state, "Biographies of living persons (BLPs) must be written conservatively, with regard for the subject's privacy."

The topic of an individual's master's thesis is hardly an invasion of privacy. Being an academic person myself, this is an accomplishment that an individual should be proud of, not ashamed of. I imagine Mr. Harris would want people to recognize his academic achievement. Besides, it's not some big secret. If you know his name, you can find the thesis title with a Google Scholar search. 129.252.61.116 (talk) 04:17, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

WP:BLP Furthermore, "editors should exercise restraint and include only material relevant to their notability, while omitting information that is irrelevant to the subject's notability".

I would argue that the political donations are relevant to his notability. It's the most notable media attention he's ever received. That certainly makes him a notable figure, in Illinois at the very least.129.252.61.116 (talk) 04:17, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

WP:NPF Furthermore, your continual insistence to report on this individual's political donations is equally off-topic and even more disturbing; the 6-year-old article is clearly politically motivated and wrought with false light accusations that may be incredibly harmful to a private individual.

As listed below, if you don't like the tone of that particular article on the issue, there are at least four other articles on the same topic in other papers that can be used as reference instead. And, of course the article is going to be six years old, it happened six years ago.129.252.61.116 (talk) 04:17, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

WP:HARM I call on you to please be fair to the other editors (and to the subject for that matter, who your actions most directly affect), and cease reverting.

What other editors? Many of the 'editors' have been simply blanking the entire page or removing all but the most basic of information. I'm the only one that has made constructive edits to this page in months. Also note that these are guidelines for entries, not Wikipedia policies.129.252.61.116 (talk) 04:17, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RusMetal Interview a forgery?

As on the Judas Iscariot (band) page, someone, using the IP address 63.164.145.198 (owned by FedEx Kinko's), has stated that the 1999 Interview on RusMetal is "widely known to be a forgery." Could anyone please confirm this by providing evidence? – Thanks, Branko 18:14, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Donations Not A Living Person Violation

Information regarding Andrew Harris has been constantly deleted under the grounds of it being a 'living person violation'. In other words, it is being removed on the grounds that it may be libelous. However, for something to be considered libel, it must first be false. The political donations by Harris to the Madigan campaign are no falsification. Not only can this information be found in The Chicago Tribune article but also in articles in various other papers, such as the Daily Herald, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Southern Illinoisan, and Belleville News-Democrat. Do a Google News search. 129.252.171.162 (talk) 01:14, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
