The last line of the second section was hard to translate. I rendered it:

• When not a direct source he appears to draw from the works of one Gonzalo Fernández de Oviedo.

The proofreader changed that to:

• When he did not draw from a direct source, he appears to draw from the works of one Gonzalo Fernández de Oviedo.

For reference, a literal translation might be:

• In the sense it is not direct source it is as if it's the work of Gonzalo Fernandez of Oviedo.

The sense I drew from the original was that Laguna himself was the direct source referred to: he wasn't drawing from another source. Is there a better way to phrase that? Trevor 21:51, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
