[edit] References
On 13 March 2007 Brookie removed all of the references listed below saying "they should have an English translation next to them - add this if they are replaced". I am not sure what the this is that Brookie referred to. I am not sure what the problem with these references was that Brookie was trying to elucidate, or fix by deleting them. I hope that Brookie will respond here with additional information. Certainly the titles are correctly in Spanish, and citations to foreign language materials are fully appropriate. --Bejnar 23:02, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comment
This is the English Wiki - not the Spanish one - the rules say that if you quote foreign language references you must supply an English translation of the reference link so that it is intelligible to an English reading audience. - These are not quotes. These are the titles of the web pages in references. I agree that if a passage is quoted, and if it is translatable, then the English should be provided. These are not quotes. --Bejnar 15:02, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

- done! (again)... let's just hope the article is not erased deliberately again without discussing on the talkpage otherwise I'll report it as admin abuse.--((F3rn4nd0 ))(BLA BLA BLA) 15:39, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

- What Admin "abuse" might that be? Now we have a translation I'm happy with this section and it complies with the rules. Brookie :) - a will o' the wisp ! (Whisper...) 13:34, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

NB
"Because this is the English Wikipedia, English-language sources should be given whenever possible, and should always be used in preference to other language sources of equal calibre. However, do give references in other languages where appropriate. If quoting from a different language source, an English translation should be given with the original-language quote beside it."
[edit] Diamond DVD
Under "Recent Career" it says:
- On March 2 of 2006 Andrés López was presented with a Diamond DVD from Universal Music. Attending this celebration was the famous singer Wilfrido Vargas. At the end of 2006 Andres Lopez sold more than 100,000 DVDs, the Ball of Letters is the most sold out DVD in Colombia.
- That is the correct place to put the award. The first paragraph is a summary of the article, see WP:LEAD. --Bejnar 05:09, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
