[edit] GA failed

This article needs some more solid work to pass GA

  • The uniform section and the ground section need sources
  • The lead needs to be expanded so that in can include more than just the current events section, things like history. Also, the contemporary status should probably be moved into the front of the lead so we know what they are doing at the moment.
    • Y Done
  • IT should proablby be stated which tier of the English league system they are in. Which class is the SLDOSW
    • Y Done
  • A mention of their best ever result in the lead would be good
    • Y Done
  • Dates need to be wikilinked consistently or not at all
    • Y Done
  • Was the first match against Basingstoke part of a plan or was it just a one off? How was it formed?
    • Y Done (it was a friendly)
  • The article should explain what the Salisbury league is since it is not self-explanatory. Did they start in the Salisbury League? When did they move into the North Hants May League? Was this a step upwards or downwards?
    • Y Done Actually, the Salisbury, Hampshire and North Hants May Leagues were run side-by-side and Andover competed in all three every year.
  • Was the Southern LEague @nd division a step up or down? The changing leagues should be explained to the reader otherwise they will not know whether the club was on the move up or down
    • Y Done (it was a step up)
  • in the first para it talks about what it won in the next 30 years, but it talks afterwards about different leagues that the team competed in up to WW1, but these leagues aren't of the same name as the trophies that it was listed as winning in the first paragraph, so the evolution of the club needs to be expalined clearly so that those not familar with the history of English football understand the ups and downs of hte club
    • Y Done (I'd say this comment was addressed when the ones regarding Salisbury / North Hants leagues and Hampshire League reshuffles were covered)
  • The reshuffles of the Hampshire league should be explained a bit more clearly and how the club fitted into the landscape.
    • Y Done (Hampshire League was initially split into regional divisions, with Andover in the North Division)
  • The article should proablby be better on the background so that there is more context for the layperson. The Southern and Western leagues are presumably bigger. It would be good to slip in a sentence explaining the larger extent and competition that these leagues covered,eg, how many more counties did the league cover.
    • Y Done
  • Some one sentence para should be merged back into the main body.
    • Y Done wherever possible
  • Probably an explanation of the 2006 league restructure should be given, sice there is no link to any article about it
    • Y Done Now wikilinked
  • The timeline isn't necessary and should be prosified/merged into the main history. The joining of the leagues should explain whether it was a move up or down.
    • Y Done Timeline deleted. Other comment to follow.
  • Do we have information on the wider acitivites of the club? how do they get their funding and sponsorships? Do they have things like poker machines to run money
    • Y Done (club finances done, other activities to follow)
  • Do we have information about how the club is run? budget/board and CEO type info?
    • Y Done
  • Do we have 3rd party refs if possible
    • Y Done I've included as many 3rd party refs as possible (The Telegraph, Non-League Daily, Andover Advertiser etc), although for a club of Andover's size, such refs are pretty scarce.
